Peer Support can only happen with the incredible contribution of our students and staff! Thus, we celebrate and recognise our indiviudal students and schemes through our Peer Support Awards. Our Outstanding Contribution Awards are awarded to those who have gone above and beyond their role, and our Outstanding Scheme Awards are a range of awards given to schemes for demonstrating excellence throughout the year. If you think your Leader/Mentor/Coordinator/Scheme deserves one of these awards, please look at the information below on how to nominate them.
Peer Support Celebration Evening
The Peer Support Annual Celebration Evening is always an enjoyable event for staff and students to meet and celebrate all the work that has been achieved through Peer Support.
The event is an excellent opportunity to recognise and reward Peer Mentors, PASS Leaders, Student Coordinators and various staff for their valued voluntary contributions. Some of our students will speak about the benefits of being involved and the value of Peer Support within their schemes and the wider University, and there will be special guests in attendance!
The awards for Outstanding Contributions to Peer Support and Outstanding Schemes will be presented to the winners.
The Peer Support Celebration Evening took place in Semester 2, on Thursday 20th April 2023 - the 2023/24 evening will be taking place on the 25th of April 2024!
Peer Mentoring and PASS can only function with the dedication and support of students and staff involved in the schemes. It is recognised that many Peer Mentors, PASS Leaders, Student Coordinators, Staff Coordinators and Administrators make exceptional voluntary contributions, far greater than expected in their roles. It is the commitment of these people that the Outstanding Contribution to Peer Support Awards seeks to recognise.

In addition to these individual awards, we also recognise our schemes as a whole with a number of scheme awards. The Outstanding Scheme Awards are a series of five awards which aim to reward schemes in specific areas; Community, Collaboration, Innovator, Legacy, and Resilience.

All Staff Coordinators, Student Coordinators, PASS Leaders and Peer Mentors are invited to this event. In addition, we also welcome anyone in an additional role such as BLS Instructors, Wellbeing and Volunteering Champions. You will receive emails when the event's tickets go live; unfortunately, we cannot host all our amazing students and staff so tickets are given on a first come, first served basis.
